Green Base is a Nanoterra initiative that combines science, innovation and positive impact to transform how industries choose their raw materials. The proposal is simple and bold: help the cosmetics sector make more sustainable, intelligent decisions aligned with the new regenerative economy.
Born from Nanoterra's experience with sustainable nanobiotechnology, Green Base expands this perspective to the universe of ingredients available in the market. It is an unprecedented technological platform that maps, classifies and suggests raw materials with lower socio-environmental impact — always based on criteria of efficacy, safety, governance and sustainability (ESG).

Why are we creating Green Base?
Developing more sustainable products starts long before formulation. It starts with the choice of raw materials. The reality, however, is that accessible and technical tools that guide this choice based on reliable and updated data are still lacking. Green Base emerges to fill this gap and strengthen the sector with a scientific, transparent and accessible foundation.
What will the platform offer?
Green Base will be an interactive digital system, powered by a robust database with technical, functional and ESG information about ingredients widely used in the cosmetics industry — as well as suggesting greener alternatives, including innovation potential from Brazilian biodiversity.
A vision born in the Cerrado
Green Base is born from the same place as Nanoterra: from the Cerrado of Goiás and the belief that Brazilian biodiversity has the potential to regenerate markets, practices and territories. Inspired by experiences with sustainable extractivism, low-impact innovation and regenerative technologies, the platform is a natural evolution of our mission to reframe the value chain of the consumer industry.
